Gulf Killifish are native to Mexico, from Texas to Florida, and belong to the genus Fundulus. These saltwater fish can survive in water temperatures of 5 degrees to 37 degrees Celsius, and water temperature plays a vital role in hatching Gulf Killifish eggs. Meanwhile, when female Gulf Killifish spawn, they will lay their eggs in vegetation near the high tide line.
